Άγριο ξυλοδαρμός 17χρονου στη Φλόριντα από εννέα άτομα, του επιτέθηκαν επειδή προστάτεψε κοπέλα
Εννέα μαθητές λυκείου της Φλόριντα, ένας εκ των οποίων μόλις 14 ετών, συνελήφθησαν μετά από ένα ανατριχιαστικό βίντεο στο οποίο φαίνεται να ξυλοκοπούν βάναυσα έναν συμμαθητή τους, ο οποίος τους εμπόδισε να εκφοβίσουν ένα κορίτσι σε καφετέρια.
Ο 17χρονος που ξυλοκοπήθηκε χρειάστηκε να κάνει 11 ράμματα στο κεφάλι. «Πρόκειται για σοβαρή επίθεση», δήλωσε η αστυνόμος Κίμπερλι Μόντες από το Γραφείο του Σερίφη της Κομητείας Όσεολα στο Fox, χαρακτηρίζοντας τους εννέα κατηγορούμενους «δειλούς» που θα πρέπει να δικαστούν ως ενήλικες.
«Δεν ήταν ένας εναντίον ενός, ούτε δύο εναντίον ενός. Ήταν εννέα μαθητές εναντίον ενός, και είμαστε απλώς τυχεροί που δεν υπέστη πιο σοβαρούς τραυματισμούς από αυτούς που έπαθε», είπε. «Λέμε συνεχώς στα παιδιά: “Υπερασπίσου κάποιον άλλο!” Χρειάζεται πολύ θάρρος για να το κάνεις αυτό. Αυτός το έκανε και αυτοί οι εννέα που τον ξυλοκόπησαν είναι οι δειλοί», ανέφερε.
Ο 17χρονος είχε παρέμβει για να πει στους θύτες να σταματήσουν να πετάνε καρότα σε ένα κορίτσι, πυροδοτώντας μια διαμάχη με δύο από αυτούς, πριν φύγει από την καφετέρια μαζί με το κορίτσι. Ένας από τους εμπλεκόμενους του όρμηξε τότε καθώς περπατούσε προς το αυτοκίνητό του μετά το τελευταίο κουδούνι, με οκτώ άλλους να συμμετέχουν στον άγριο ξυλοδαρμό, σύμφωνα με την αστυνομία.

NINE HARMONY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARRESTED AFTER ATTACK ON ANOTHER STUDENT
On October 16, 2026, the 17-year-old male victim of this attack was inside the cafeteria at Harmony High School with his girlfriend at lunch, when they observed another female being bullied (carrots were being thrown at her). The male victim told the suspects to stop throwing food at the female. Two males had a verbal exchange with the victim and his girlfriend. He then attempted to de-escalate the situation by leaving the area with his girlfriend.
Just after the same day, OCSO deputies responded to reports of a physical altercation that occurred off campus, at the tunnel exiting Harmony High School. The victim was walking to his car when he was struck by Joandiel Gomez Ruiz, 16. The other 8 suspects (ages 14-18 years old) repeatedly threw punches at the victim’s face and head, leaving him bloodied and injured.
The victim was taken to the hospital by his mom and received 11 stitches to close the wounds in his face. A cell phone video of the incident was provided to deputies and was used to identify all the suspects. On October 21st, deputies from OCSO responded to Harmony High School and arrested the 9 male students who participated in this crime, in cooperation with staff at the school. All 9 were charged with Felony Aggravated Battery and Felony Inciting a Riot. Two eighteen-year-olds were booked into the Osceola County Jail, and the 7 minor suspects were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
“Let me be clear: physical intimidation, threats, or acts of violence of any kind will not be tolerated in our schools or in our community, whether on or off campus,” said Osceola School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff. “Such behavior is fundamentally inconsistent with the values of our school district and the standards of conduct we expect from every student. We take these matters seriously, and there must be accountability when those expectations are violated. I am grateful for our tremendous partnership with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and our law enforcement partners, whose collaboration is essential to maintaining safe communities and ensuring our students are held to the highest standards of respect, responsibility, and personal conduct.”
Sheriff Chris Blackmon wants this to send a message to all students attending public or private schools within Osceola County. “If you put your hands on another student on or off campus, deputies will arrest you”. “This victim did the right thing by standing up for another student being bullied. “He is the brave one; the 9 teens that chose violence against him are the cowards.”
